From West Palm Beach, FL. Bill and John Storch have been writing and recording music for over 20 years. Starting as an acoustic duo in their early teens, the brothers were members of the 'alternative' rock band ATA-TAT in the 1980's. Based in Boston, MA., ATA-TAT gained regional success in New England with a string of local radio hits, including "Dark Promises" (produced by William Garrett) which reached to #1 on many commercial and college stations in 1987.
Since returning to South Florida in 1990 , the Storch brothers have accumulated an extensive list of credits to their name. Working in a variety of mediums, most notable are their works for dance and performance art ( The Demetrius Klein Dance Co. and Cherie Carson ) , in experimental and childrens' theater ( Dow Raku Projects ) and film sound tracks/theater ( Surreptitious Filmwerks ).
Among the works for the internationally renowned Klein , "Patenteux", "Halos In Reverse" , "Jeux" and "Forgotten Spaces" have been performed extensively within the US.(One highlight being the OCEAN DANCE 2000 performance to "Halos In Reverse, Part II" : Hollywood, FL. May, 2000. Featuring The Demetrius Klein Dance Co. and Mikhail Baryshnikovs' White Oak Project. The event attracted an estimated 30,000 people) .
Ms. Carsons' "The Dress Of Eleven Yards " has also received attention on a national scale , with rave performances throughout Florida, Atlanta, Seattle, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe (UK :1999) and most recently, an award-winning performance in San Francisco (Sept. 2000).
Bill and John Storch have been working with vocal group SoulXpreS and the country/folk outfit, Hillbilly Heart, while forming Lantern Recordings.
After a series of live shows at CBGB's (New York City) and Respectable Street's (West Palm Beach) in 2003, the following year was spent recording and putting the finishing touches on the first CD with The Sewing Circle Sues. The group consists of life- long friends (and ex-bandmates) from the New York City based Crossfire Choir and Ata-Tat.
Band members include Jay Pounders, Brad Peet, Ron DeSaram and Andy McManus.
