Milos Coric, aged 38, of Lake Worth, Florida, born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, passed away on January 5th, 2001.He is survived by his wife, Anne Marie Capelli of Lake Worth, his parents, Djordge and Radmilla Coric of Belgrade, and his three daughters: Sasa Coric and Nina Coric of Belgrade and Hannah Coric Mann of Collingswood, New Jersey.
Milos was a wonderful, mild, gentle-mannered man whom we had recently met through a mutual close friend, Cherie Carson. When we met, it became apparent that a very good friendship would soon develop.Milos had a wide range of interests, conversations were animated, free and filled with laughter. He admired the work Bill and I had done for Cherie and for The Demetrius Klein Dance Co. and was very enthusiastic on helping us get Lantern Recordings off the ground.
Milos had generously offered to design the website, as he had done for Cherie Carson and there was excited talk of artistic collaborations in the future, via the internet, with Cherie.
Being an excellent artist, visualist and graphic designer, Milos was anxious to become involved with the arts again. Lantern , and our extended family of friends would have been the perfect avenue.
Milos had a very keen eye and offered to help us in every way imaginable: From creative ideas of layout and image design to his practicle and professional expertise concerning commercial and marketing strategies for the Lantern Artists. Our thoughts concerning Lantern were similar, if not identical, as were tastes in music....from Bartok to The Smashing Pumpkins to an obscure Diamanda Galas CD and back again.
The beginings of The Lantern Recordings project may have been one of the last creative endevors Milos was involved with. We were planning on sinking our teeth into the web-design once the rush of the holidays had settled down.
Sadly, this was not to happen. Milos will be missed by those whose lives he sweetly touched. In honor of his life and work , Bill and I have set up a photo gallery as a forum for Milos Corics' artwork. There will be many more additions in the future.
