SoulXpreS





SoulXpreS was formed in the Fall of 1998 by a group of friends who had been working together over seven years.Vocalists Dennis Baker and Nifa Spraggins met Bill and John Storch while working together on Resurrection Ball '94 , a benefit for AIDS research . They struck up a lasting friendship , which included lead and background vocal work on The Demetrius Klein Dance Co./Southern Ballets' performance of Song in 1995.

Vocal diva, Nifa , a veteran of Palm Beach County musical theater , has performed in many critically acclaimed productions, including The Lyric Theaters' production of Hair in 1999.

While recording a Baker/Spraggins composition, "Commit To Me" at Storch Studio in 1998 , a line -up of five vocalists and two instrumentalists formed and SoulXpreS was born.

The "12-inch single "Commit To Me" was released nationally (under the name Soulproviders featuring Nifa ) to rave reviews, club and radio airplay in January 2000 on KIKI Records(owned by Mike "Da Mooch" Mucci) . A collaboration is in the works with prominent DJ/Producer Willy Sanjuan,of Barcelona, Spain.

The group released the single "Celebrate Love", on Voice Of The Underground Recordings. A remix of the single is also featured on the "Space Ibiza 2002" CD compilation. This single received a full UK release on Refunkt Recordsin early 2003. This vinyl single can be purchased via the Refunkt Records website or digitally via traxsource.com.

A new single was released in Summer 2004 on MDEX Recordings (San Francisco, USA) entitled "Get Down" featuring mixes from Tapio Schnaars and Marc Deon.

As usual, the group is currently in the studio writing and recording new material, and working on several collaborations with local and international DJ/Producers.
